THE SECRET OF KNOWING JESUS

Come,see, and remain!
He (Jesus) said to them, come and see they came and saw where he was staying and remained with him that day. (John 1:39)

John relates how Jesus called his disciples and how they remained with him. They wanted to be close to him and followed him. When we follow the lord, we not only do so because we need his help, but because we want to fellowship with him. In order to enter into fellowship with the lord we must come to him, recognize him in his present manner of revelation and remain with him.

Come!

In order to come to God we must:

– have faith: (Hebrew 11:6) only those who believed that Jesus was the son of God experience an encounter with the risen one.

– leave the kingdom of this world: in order to enter into the kingdom of God. Access to the kingdom of God is only possible through the rebirth out of water and the spirit and requires us to submit to the divine law.

– Go to the temple: like Simeon and anna. In the divine service we have an encounter with God.

– earnestly prepared ourselves for the return of Christ.

See!

Only in the light of the holy spirit will we see the activity of the lord.

– in our lives: he has helped us to this point and will continue to lead and support us.

– in the apostle ministry: those who accept the lord (Matthew 10:40) the lord entrusted the apostle with the administration of the holy communion, which gives us fellowship of life with him.

– in our heart: thanks to the activity of the holy spirit, we are able to forgive and over come the sinful nature we were not yet capable of overcoming yesterday.

Remain!

In order to enter into eternal fellowship with God at the return of Jesus,it’s important that we remain steadfast in.

– faith: we must believe without having seen until the end.

-obedience: we have to obey the divine law even if the blessing is not revealed right at that moment.

– his work of redemption: we do not allow ourselves to be discouraged by the tares that the enemy sows (Matthew 13:24-30) we do not allow false teaching to entice us.

– our effort: we do not allow ourselves to be deterred in our preparation for the return of Christ whether by our weakness or setback. Quite the contrary, we continue to fight the good fight of faith

Summary:

– in other to have fellowship with Jesus Christ we must come to him in Faith and follow him.

– in the light of the holy spirit we recognize Christ activity in our lives in our congregation and in our heart .

– we remain steadfast in his church until his return.
